We're excited to welcome you to Bear Creek Lake Park for the Great Trailhead Foot Race! A little planning before race morning will help you get parked and ready to hit the trails.

IMPORTANT: The race start/finish and expo are at Pelican Point, NOT the park's Visitor Center!

If you're using GPS, be sure to navigate directly to Pelican Point rather than relying on the park's general street address.

To get there, enter at the main park entrance. Turn right at the first intersection, Kumpfmiller Dr. Follow Kumpfmiller Dr around for almost 2 miles until you reach Hampton Ave (at T intersection) and turn left. Follow Hampton until you reach the LARGE dirt parking lot on the left - it is almost where the road ends! 

⏰ Plan Your Arrival

Both the 5 Mile and 10 Mile races start at 9:00 AM.

Please allow extra time to enter the park, find parking, walk to the expo and pick up your race packet if needed.  The park gates open at 7 AM.

We recommend arriving early so you can enjoy a relaxed start to your trail adventure!

Good news! Your race registration includes admission to Bear Creek Lake Park for race day.

🚙 Carpooling Encouraged!

Parking near the race is limited, and we'd love to have everyone arrive with as little stress as possible.

If you're coming with friends or family, please consider carpooling. Fewer cars mean easier parking, less congestion and a little less impact on the beautiful park we're here to enjoy!

🅿️ Race-Day Parking

Parking is available in designated parking lots throughout Bear Creek Lake Park.

• Primary parking: Use the parking areas nearest Pelican Point and the race expo.

• Additional parking: Other designated park lots may be used as space allows.

• Overflow parking: If the main parking area fills, additional parking is available at the Soda Lakes parking lots. From there, it's a short walk to the expo.

There is NO parking permitted along park roads or road shoulders. Please use designated parking spaces only.
